We are currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Construction Manager to lead our homebuilding projects from the ground up. This is a key leadership role that requires hands-on oversight of new home construction and warranty service, ensuring each home is built with integrity, quality, and care. OBJECTIVES

Responsible for managing all aspects of new home & warrant construction, from inception to completion.

JOB DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

• Collect, organize & document city/trade/vendor building permits, inspection reports, energy efficiency scores, etc...
• Schedule city inspections.
• Schedule utility connections.
• Hold trades accountable to Scope of Work’s:
• Established lead times.
• Capacity agreements.
• Task durations.
• Craftsmanship quality standards.
• Exercise right to enforce trade back charge clause when necessary, according to company processes & procedures.
• Approve trade work complete & authorize payment.
• Evaluate material & labor variances and follow company processes & procedures to issue variance purchase orders.
• Assist trades with accessing trade portal on Westwind Homes Construction Software.
• Communicate with company construction scheduler on projected vs. actual job progress and in advance of variance to actuals, request schedule adjustments.
• Properly meet, greet, evaluate & approve/deny customer warranty/30 Day claims w/o causing offense.
• Manage warranty/30 Day jobs by scheduling trades and protecting customer’s property & time.
• Log progress reports of every inventory home, model, warranty, 30 Day & job in process daily.
• Evaluate construction document sets and budgets & request changes before job release.
• With the respective sales agents of each community maintain community, model & inventory quality standards. (weekly meeting)
• Participate in Weekly 1:1 with Production Manager.
• Participate in Annual Employee Review.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Must be proficient with computers & tablets. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and committed to become proficient with Westwind Homes Construction Management Software. Good verbal and writing skills are required. Able to hold people accountable without causing offense. Math and logic skills are a must. 2 years technical degree or college courses preferred. 2 years direct construction site experience required. Spanish is a must.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to occasionally lift-up to 15 pounds.

Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine company needs.

Must be able to legally drive vehicles in the USA.
